Dispatch Operations: Oversee daily dispatch activities, including vehicle allocation, route planning, and load optimization to maximize fleet efficiency and minimize delays.
Route & Schedule Management: Utilize Jumia's logistics systems (e.g., TMS - Transport Management System) to create and adjust dynamic routes, ensuring alignment with real-time demand, traffic conditions, and delivery SLAs.
Performance Monitoring: Track key metrics such as on-time delivery rates, fuel efficiency, vehicle utilization, and dispatch turnaround time; implement continuous improvements using data analytics.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Coordinate with warehouse teams, drivers, third-party logistics partners, and customer service to resolve escalations, handle exceptions, and enhance overall supply chain visibility.
Process Optimization: Identify bottlenecks in dispatch workflows, recommend, implement, and contribute to cost-saving initiatives.
Reporting & Analysis: Prepare weekly/monthly reports on dispatch performance, highlighting trends, variances, and actionable insights for senior management.
What we are looking for:
2-3 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or dispatch operations
Proficiency in Transport Management Systems (TMS), route optimization software, and basic Excel/data analysis tools
Strong team management skills with the ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders and communicate effectively at all organizational levels
Data-driven approach to problem-solving with experience in KPI tracking, performance analysis, and process improvement
Understanding of supply chain operations, last-mile delivery challenges, and e-commerce logistics requirements
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or related field preferred
Must have completed NYSC or possess a valid exemption letter
