    Trade Marketing Manager

    Principal Responsibilities

    • Develop plans for business and revenue growth.
    • Document research and identify new business opportunities - including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products and services - or new ways of reaching existing markets.
    • Track leads and move them through the sales cycle. Actively seek out new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking and social media.
    • Craft and deploy business strategy.
    • Proffer possible promotional strategies and activities at BD strategy meetings for Head of BD to drive, alongside the marketing lead.
    • Work strategically - execute planned actions and report implemented operational change.
    • Liaise with team within business line to implement plans and curate optimal outcomes.
    • Develop and implement quotes and proposals.
    • Document business proposals.
    • Help clients walk through/understand business proposal.
    • Clearly define the T&Cs and other business agreements on every possible transaction with prospective clients.
    • Foster and develop relationships with customers/clients within BD's business line.
    • Drive online or physical meetings with clients within BD's business line.
    • Understand the needs of your customers and be able to respond effectively with a plan of how to meet these needs.
    • Information Gathering and Utilisation - Keep abreast of trends and changes in the business world.
    • Seek ways of improving the way the business operates.

    Qualifications / Requirements

    • Relevant Degree e.g. B.Sc or Master’s Degree in Business Administration or any Business related field.
    • 4 to 7 years working experience as a Trade Market Executive/Manager, with a focus in FMCG and Exports.
    • 2 years working in Agro Commodities sales with a strong understanding of sector.
    • Proven track record of successfully working the sales cycle from plan to close.
    • Experience working in Export Sales and with FMCGs or Agro commodities Trade."

    Core Competence:

    • Good experience and understanding of research methods and Market trends, FMCG and Agro Commodity Markets.
    • Build effective working relationships with a variety of different stakeholders.
    • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
    • Self-motivated and goal-oriented, desire to deliver results.
    • Ability to create and deliver presentations
    • Articulate, persuasive and influential verbal communication skills.
    • Thorough understanding of marketing and negotiating techniques.
    • Knowledge of MS Office software and CRM software.
