Survey Assistant at EL-ALAN Construction Company (Nigeria) Limited

Job Description

• As a Land Survey Assistant with Elalan Construction, you will assist the Land Surveyor to ensure buildings are located, orientated and constructed within the required boundaries, ensure buildings are erected within strict tolerances relating to both line and level.

Responsibilities

• Assist with performing boundaries and topography.
• Operation and maintenance of survey equipment’s
• Assist with setting out of buildings.
• Assist to provide grid lines and datum points to allow commencement of works.
• Assist the Land Surveyor with the surveying of buildings and infrastructure to termination of work including landscaping and utilities.
• Assist by determining a known coordinated benchmark in a protected area.
• Assist to ensure continuous axis and levels throughout the project are provided.
• Protect benchmark, offsets and reference points.
• Adherence to safety policy in executing your job
• Any other duty that may be assigned from time to time.

Qualification / Experience

• OND in Land Survey
• 2-4 Years’ experience in general land surveying.

Technical Competencies:

• Ability to learn new skills quickly.
• Basic knowledge of Land Survey
• Good understanding of all Survey activities.
• Ability to assist with the implementation of initiatives and escalates issues
• Good computer Skills-Microsoft office tools
• Execute transactions under supervision of assigned experienced Land Surveyor
• Ability to take direction and complete site and administrative tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Computer Literacy:

• MS Office: Excel and Word, Surveying and Drafting Software, GPS System would be advantageous
