Klasha is looking for a senior financial analyst and accountant to manage all financial transactions, from fixed payments and variable expenses to bank deposits and budgets. You will be responsible for auditing financial documents and procedures, reconciling bank statements and calculating tax payments and returns.
To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience with bookkeeping and working in a fast-paced startup environment. Ultimately, you will provide us with accurate quantitative information on financial position, liquidity and cash flows of our business, while ensuring we’re compliant with all tax regulations.
You will be responsible for financial planning, analysis and projection for Klasha. You will spend your day analyzing huge amounts of financial data and preparing various accounting and financial reports based on this data and your research-backed opinions. To excel in this role you need proven knowledge of various financial forecasting and corporate finance models.
The ideal candidate will be involved with preparing financial reports and statements, bank reconciliations, and conducting cyclical audits. Moreover, the candidate must have strong interpersonal skills and possess strong business acumen.
Responsibilities
Manage all accounting transactions
Prepare budget forecasts
Publish financial statements in time
Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings
Reconcile accounts payable and receivable
Ensure timely bank payments
Compute taxes and prepare tax returns
Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements
Report on the company’s financial health and liquidity
Audit financial transactions and documents
Analyzing current and past financial data and performance
Preparing reports and projections based on this analysis
Evaluating current capital expenditures and depreciation
Exploring investment opportunities
Establishing and evaluating profit plans
Identifying trends in financial performance and providing recommendations for improvement
Coordinating with other members of the finance team to review financial information and forecasts
Providing financial models and forecasting
Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary
Comply with financial policies and regulations
Create ad-hoc reports for various business needs
Prepare tax documents
Compile and analyze financial statements
Manage budgeting and forecasting
Requirements
BSc in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree
Additional certification (CPA or CMA) is a plus
Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
Work experience as an Accountant
Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Hands-on experience with accounting software like FreshBooks and QuickBooks
Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables
Experience with general ledger functions
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
Ability to interpret and analyze financial statements and periodicals
Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
