    Senior Finance Associate

    Salary Range: ₦500,000 – ₦1,000,000

    Resumption: Within 2 weeks of offer

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
    • Coordinate and oversee the entire budgeting and forecasting process, working closely with department heads to align financial planning with business strategy.
    • Monitor and analyze key financial metrics, trends, and variances, providing actionable insights to senior management to drive informed decision-making.
    • Oversee and maintain the general ledger, account reconciliations, and internal financial controls to ensure reliability and integrity of financial information.
    • Ensure timely and accurate tax filings, remittances, and regulatory compliance, including PAYE, VAT, WHT, and other statutory obligations.
    • Manage cash flow planning, working capital optimization, and effective treasury operations to support ongoing and future business needs.
    • Supervise and support the finance team in payroll administration, accounts payable, receivables, and inventory costing.
    • Coordinate internal and external audits, preparing audit schedules, responding to queries, and implementing recommendations.
    • Drive automation and efficiency in finance processes using accounting software such as Odoo, QuickBooks, Sage, and advanced Excel tools.
    • Liaise with external stakeholders including auditors, tax authorities, banks, and vendors, ensuring professional relationships and timely resolutions.
    • Provide leadership, mentorship, and professional development to junior finance staff, fostering a culture of performance and accountability.

    Requirements:

    • A Master’s Degree (MSc or MBA) in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
    • ICAN certification is mandatory (or equivalent such as ACCA).
    • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a structured finance role, preferably in retail, technology, or FMCG sectors.
    • Advanced proficiency in Odoo, QuickBooks, Sage, and MS Excel.
    • Deep knowledge of financial regulations, tax laws, and compliance standards in Nigeria.
    • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
    • High ethical standards, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
