    Senior Associate, Dispute Resolution

    Our client, a sole legal firm is looking to hire a Senior Associate, Dispute Resolution to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 5–7 years post-call litigation experience, with a proven track record of handling complex disputes, supervising junior lawyers, and delivering strong results for clients. The Senior Associate will play a key role in case strategy, client management, and team leadership while working closely with Partners.

     Responsibilities

    • Lead the preparation and drafting of court processes, legal opinions, and complex legal documents.
    • Develop case strategy and manage dispute portfolios across various courts and tribunals.
    • Represent clients in court, arbitration, and other ADR proceedings.
    • Supervise, mentor, and review the work of Associates and interns.
    • Conduct advanced research and prepare high-level briefs, submissions, and advisory notes.
    • Liaise with clients, provide strategic updates, and manage key client relationships.
    • Oversee case management systems, filings, and compliance with procedural timelines.
    • Contribute to business development initiatives and thought leadership within the firm.
    • Support Partners in managing practice operations and achieving departmental goals.

    Qualifications

    • LL.B and B.L (Nigerian Bar).
    • 5–7 years post-call experience in litigation and dispute resolution.
    • In-depth knowledge of civil and commercial litigation, arbitration, and ADR mechanisms.
    • Excellent legal drafting, analytical, and research abilities.
    • Demonstrated ability to supervise teams and manage multiple cases simultaneously.

    Must have skills

    • Strong advocacy skills and confidence handling complex matters independently.
    • Strong communication, client-facing, and stakeholder management skills.
    • High level of professional integrity, organisation, and attention to detail.
