You will be working as Sales Specialist and will be part of Electrification business area for Distribution Solutions division based in Lagos; Nigeria.
In this role you will be reporting to Industry Sales Manager and will be responsible for responsible of all sales and marketing activities within a specific segment in Nigeria and Ghana and to achieve the assigned KPI’s like budget, product portfolio, market share growth, market intelligence and customer satisfaction.
Responsible of the key profitable targets within a specified industry customer, by executing pre-planned activities according to the Electrification business area and in line with country, cluster and region sales strategy.
Your responsibilities
Gathering, understanding and analyzing the information regarding allocated segment and to anticipate the evolution and future trends of the specific segment i.e. the customer’s processes, organization, decision makers, strategy, vision or projects and partnering with the business to drive profitability, introducng ABB products to the consultants and developing new markets
Planning and implementing promotional activities together with sales, marketing, technical promotor and channel managers. Identifying the segment customers who could be potential buyers, by understanding the segment needs in order to create value for the end-customer
Creating offers and proposals including service activities for allocated segment customers and also ensuring ownership for customer resolution cases and implements to maintain high level customer satisfaction
Collecting, analyzing and distributing the segment surveys and building a deep understanding of customer trends, competitors, pricing, product applications and services from the segment point of view. Identifying and monitoring the price and harmonize pricing with the division price levels
Managing annual performance assessment activities and developing segment metrix through regular reports. Completing activities as requested by the local business manager, implementing and following up regarding the segment initiatives
Creating and maintaining a loyal and long-term sustainable relationship with segment customers and segment associations. Ensuring that all segment related processes are properly organized and followed-up
Managing segment training by conducting regular training seminars in conjunction with local sales. Minimizing risks e.g. related the agreements, contracts and offers
Your background
Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field
Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in sales, marketing or key account management role
Fluent in English and “local language”, additional languages are of advantage
Ability to work in a multinational environment and in a matrix organization
Flexibility in travelling within the specified area or other countries
Knowledge about the segment application and related product portfolio
Good self-leadership, communication and business strategic skills
