• MEDA Nigeria requires a Consultant to be a Content Producer to provide up to date and well informed market and business information across a variety of agro processing activities
• Developing contents and seeing it through from pre-production to post-production.

Nigeria WAY Project Summary

• MEDA's Youth Entrepreneurship and Women’s Empowerment in Northern Nigeria project (Nigeria WAY) in Bauchi state is a five-year project that aims at assisting poor, economically active women and youth to increase their income, specifically, those who are involved in agro-processing in the rice, soybean, and groundnuts value chains
• Using a private sector approach, MEDA Nigeria works with small scale businesses particularly those led by women and youth, to ensure that they are included in the market system, supporting agro processing with smart incentives
• Additionally, the project will work with communities and families to improve the environment where girls grow up andjoin the market economy.

Objective

• MEDA Nigeria WAY requires a Consultant to be a Content Producer to provide up-to-date and well informed market and business information across a variety of agro-processing activities to / for small entrepreneurs (ENs.) and Small-Scale Businesses (SSBS) particularly women and youths in rice, groundnut and soybeans
• To increase the demand for more women voices and information agent in these value-chains and increase their market knowledge of prices, location, volume, and products available
• The Consultant will be responsible for story boarding the content and other radio programming, developing the content and seeing it through from pre-production to post-production.

Content to be developed during the period of this contract:

• 20 Minutes Market Information Programme and 40 minutes of interactive live business information segment (total of6O minutes).
• A 3-minutes infomercial on safety and health practices for women agro-processors.
• 3 minutes Fuel efficient stoves campaign - multi radio products to advocate for ecostoves which use less wood and alternative briquettes

Tasks

• 52 episodes of running 60 minutes on market and business information radio progtamme
• A 3-minutes Infomercials on safety and healthy practices and 3 minutes campaign
• Quarterly Monitoring and Evaluation exercise.
