    Quality Inspectors (Discipline) - Piping/Mech/Structural

    Department/Division:QA/QC

    Reports To:QA/QC Manager

    Job Summary

    Quality Inspectors verify that construction and fabrication activities meet project specifications, codes, and standards. They are the primary authority for accepting or rejecting work.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Perform visual inspections of welds, fit-ups, and installations.
    • Witness NDT (RT, UT, MT, PT) and review results.
    • Verify material traceability (Heat numbers).
    • Monitor hydro-tests and pneumatic tests.
    • Prepare Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) for defective work.
    • Compile Final Documentation Dossiers (As-built data).
    • Ensure compliance with ITP (Inspection and Test Plan).

    Required Qualifications

    • HND/B.Sc. in Engineering (Mechanical/Civil/Metallurgical).

    Professional Certifications & Licenses

    • CSWIP 3.1/3.2 or AWS CWI.
    • ASNT Level II in RT, UT, MT, PT.
    • COREN (added advantage).

    Experience Requirements

    • Minimum 7 years in QA/QC roles.

    Technical Skills & Competencies

    • Deep knowledge of ASME, API, and AWS codes.
    • Report writing skills.

    Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

    • Detection rate of defects.
    • Timely closure of NCRs.

    Working Conditions

    • Site and office.

    Physical Requirements

    • Accessing difficult areas for inspection.
