    Project Management Officer (PMP)

    Job Summary

    • We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Management Officer (PMO) to support the planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery of technology and business projects across OPay. The PMO will ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with organizational goals, while maintaining strong governance and reporting standards.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Support end-to-end project management activities across multiple tech and business initiatives.
    • Establish and maintain project governance frameworks, standards, and best practices.
    • Track project timelines, milestones, risks, and dependencies.
    • Prepare and present project status reports, dashboards, and KPIs to stakeholders and leadership.
    • Ensure adherence to project management methodologies (Waterfall / Agile / Hybrid).
    • Coordinate cross-functional teams including Engineering, Product, Operations, and Business teams.
    • Identify risks and issues early, recommend mitigation plans, and escalate where necessary.
    • Support resource planning, budget tracking, and project documentation.
    • Drive continuous improvement in project delivery processes and tools.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
    • PMP certification (mandatory).
    • 3–5 years of experience in a Project Management or PMO role, preferably in a tech or fintech environment.
    • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
    • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
    • Strong analytical, organizational, and reporting skills.
    • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, MS Project, Trello).

    Nice to Have

    • Experience working in fintech, banking, or fast-paced tech companies.
    • Exposure to Agile/Scrum environments (Scrum Master certification is a plus).
    • Experience supporting large-scale or cross-regional projects.
