Production Manager at Survival Agricultural Hub Limited

Responsibilities

• Assist and supervise farm operations.
• Lead and assist with activities such as debeaking, medication and vaccination.
• Write daily reports of all farm activities and reports directly to the CEO using the provided electronic medium e.g email, WhatsApp.
• Administering drug and vaccine to the birds.
• Periodic checking of poultry pens.
• Production manager assigns duties such as cleaning and feeding to farm attendants and ensures that they are carried out in an efficient manner.
• Monitoring staff rosters and performance.
• Oversees the work of farming units and suggests improvements and changes.
• Inspects farm buildings and equipment, ensuring routine maintenance is carried out and repairs are made when necessary.
• Enforce compliance with government regulations and health and safety standards.
• Coordinate and direct general farm staff day to day activities.
• Assess, suggest and help in the implementation of work procedure which are beneficial for the business.
• Ensure that safety procedures (Biosecurity) are followed by all farm workers and by everyone visiting the farm site.
• Oversees the brooding of birds.
• Records and files data of bird’s growth (Record keeping)
• Ensure that the cleaning and clearing of the farm is always maintained.
• Enforce workplace sanitation practices (Biosecurity) to prevent the spread of disease.
• Perform other duties ad instructed by the management.
• Work together with Admin manager, Vet Doctor, H.R and Executive Assistant to ensure smooth running of farm activities.
• Generation of innovative ideas.
• Ensure that the farm code of conduct is adhered to.
• Ensure that periodic orientation and training of farm staff is carried out.

Requirements

• Candidates should possess relevant qualifications with experience.
