Procurement Officer at Quality Foods Africa

Role Description

• The Procurement Officer will be responsible for managing the company's supply of products and services. Procuring Equipment like spare parts.
• This is a full-time, on-site role located in Lagos, and will involve daily interaction with various departments in the company, including finance, inventory management, and production to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services.
• Other tasks will include market and vendor research, contract negotiation and management, and the development of strategic procurement plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in procurement, supply chain management, business administration or a related field
• Proven experience as a procurement officer or in a similar procurement role
• Sound knowledge of procurement processes, policies, and procedures
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work with data
• Ability to think strategically and develop procurement plans that align with company goals
• Familiarity with procurement software and tools
• Good understanding of general business principles and practices
• Ability to work independently and effectively in a team-oriented environment
• Fluency in English and working knowledge of local languages is preferred
