    Procurement Manager

    Job Role

    • In this role, you will oversee the end-to-end procurement and production process to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of high-quality garments. 
    • This role requires a deep understanding of fashion production (especially wedding, asoebi, and couture styles), excellent vendor management skills, and the ability to coordinate across design, tailoring, and beading.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Source and negotiate with suppliers for quality fabrics, trims, embellishments, and production materials.
    • Manage procurement budgets and maintain cost control while ensuring quality standards.
    • Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely restocking of essential materials.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with local and international vendors.
    • Develop and manage production schedules to meet delivery deadlines for custom and ready-to-wear orders.
    • Supervise production activities including pattern making, cutting, sewing, beading, embroidery, and finishing.
    • Coordinate with tailors, and beaders to ensure garments are produced to specification.
    • Track and resolve production issues to avoid delays or defects.
    • Lead and motivate production staff, ensuring clear communication of daily and weekly tasks.
    • Liaise with the design team to interpret sketches and technical drawings into production processes.
    • Implement and enforce quality control standards across all stages of production.
    • Conduct routine checks and approve final pieces before delivery.
    • Maintain accurate records of production progress, inventory, and procurement activities.
    • Prepare regular reports on procurement spend, production timelines, and cost analysis.
    • Recommend improvements in production techniques, materials usage, and workflow efficiency.

    Qualifications

    • BSc/HND in Fashion Production, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
    • Minimum of 3 years experience in fashion production or procurement, preferably in high-end/wedding/asoebi/fashion.
    • Strong knowledge of garment construction, fabrics, and embellishment techniques.
    • Proven experience managing vendors and suppliers.
    • Excellent planning, coordination, and time management skills.
    • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and production management software/tools.
    • Attention to detail and a keen eye for quality.
    • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to multitask and manage several production timelines simultaneously.
