About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory Officer to oversee and manage all inventory operations. The ideal candidate will ensure the availability of dental production materials, consumables, and office supplies to support smooth day-to-day operations.
The role involves stock receipt, storage, issuance, tracking, reconciliation, documentation, and periodic audits. You will work closely with the finance team to maintain accurate records, prevent stock-outs, optimize usage, and ensure compliance with inventory procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management & Stock Control
- Maintain real-time and accurate inventory records for all materials.
- Monitor minimum stock levels and initiate timely replenishment.
- Track material movement and ensure proper documentation.
- Conduct routine stock counts and reconcile variances.
Receiving & Storage
- Receive and verify all delivered items against purchase orders.
- Inspect materials for quality and damages.
- Label, arrange, and store items properly for safety and accessibility.
Issuance & Consumption Tracking
- Issue materials to production or departmental teams based on approved requisitions.
- Track material consumption per job/project and update usage records.
- Communicate shortage alerts or unusual consumption trends.
Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare accurate weekly and monthly stock status reports.
- Maintain digital and physical inventory logs.
- Provide insights on consumption trends and reorder needs.
Stock Audit & Compliance
- Conduct weekly, monthly, and quarterly stock counts.
- Support internal audits and enforce inventory SOPs.
- Report and document damages, losses, or discrepancies.
Vendor & Procurement Support
- Liaise with the procurement team and suppliers on stock orders.
- Track delivery timelines and follow up on pending items.
- Maintain updated vendor and pricing records.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Accounting, Supply Chain, Business Admin, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years inventory experience, preferably in retail, manufacturing, or healthcare.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and inventory management software.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and integrity.
- Familiarity with dental/medical materials is an added advantage.
