Preschool Teacher at Howbury School Lagos

Position Overview

• We are seeking a passionate, patient, and creative Preschool Teacher to join our Early Years team.
• The ideal candidate will have experience working with children aged 2–5, a strong understanding of early childhood development, and the ability to create engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver a balanced and engaging curriculum that promotes cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
• Create a warm, nurturing, and safe environment for young learners.
• Use play-based and hands-on learning strategies to support curiosity and exploration.
• Observe and assess children’s development, maintaining accurate records and communicating progress to parents.
• Collaborate with colleagues to organise school events, excursions, and celebrations.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and safeguarding standards.

Qualifications & Skills

• HND/Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
• Proven experience as a Preschool or Early Years Teacher.
• Strong knowledge of the early years curriculum (British EYFS and/or Nigerian curriculum is an advantage).
• Excellent communication, creativity, and organisational skills.
• Passion for working with young children and fostering their holistic development.
