    Purpose of the Role

    • To ensure guests are warmly received and properly settled into their rooms, assist with luggage handling, and support guest comfort by ensuring rooms are in good condition before check-in and check-out.

    Key Responsibilities
    Guest Support & Services:

    • Welcome guests on arrival and assist with carrying luggage during check-in and check-out.
    • Help guests become familiar with room facilities and guest house amenities.
    • Respond to guest enquiries and provide accurate information about the facility.
    • Arrange taxis, assist with bookings, and provide directions when required.
    • Take and deliver messages to guests promptly.
    • Run errands such as picking up items (e.g., dry cleaning) when required.
    • Interact with guests and clients in a professional and courteous manner.

    Room & Facility Support:

    • Ensure all room items are intact and in proper condition before check-in and after check-out.
    • Assist in setting up halls and moving furniture or equipment for events.
    • Carry out minor maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs and keeping work areas clean.
    • Maintain the cleanliness of assigned areas, including entrances and public spaces.

    Safety & Operations:

    • Respond promptly to safety and security concerns.
    • Support general operational activities within the guest house.
    • Carry out other duties as assigned by management while maintaining professionalism at all times.

    Personnel Specification
    Educational Qualification:

    • ND/NCE/SSCE

    Experience:

    • Minimum of two (2) years’ relevant experience in a hospitality or service-related environment.

    Technical Competencies:

    • Basic knowledge of hospitality services and guest handling.
    • Computer literacy is required.

    Behavioural Competencies:

    • Highly disciplined, calm under pressure, and of sound health.
    • A person of integrity and goals.
    • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve guest concerns promptly.
    • Good time management skills and attention to detail.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
    • Professional appearance and customer-focused attitude.
