Policy Analyst Researcher (Consultant) at Bincike International

Job Summary

• The Research Consultant will coordinate research activities across Nigeria, Mali, and Niger Republic.
• The project aims to investigate the complex relationships between climate change, conflict, and development in these regions.
• Our research will focus on how climate change exacerbates conflict and how conflict responses address climate change, with an emphasis on adaptive responses and peacebuilding strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Designing and overseeing research methodologies, including literature reviews, data collection, and analysis.
• Employing a comparative case study approach, utilizing both qualitative and quantitative methods.
• Engaging with stakeholders to inform policy and practice based on research findings.

Requirements

• Ph.D. or MSc in Social Sciences or Development Studies.
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant research experience.
• Fluency in English French and Arabic
• A 2-page CV that includes a list of relevant publications to which the researcher has contributed.
• The successful candidate will have a robust background in research design, data collection, and analysis, particularly within the contexts of climate change, conflict, and peacebuilding.
