Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Chef to oversee both pastry and culinary operations. The ideal candidate must be passionate about delivering high-quality Afro-fusion and fine-dining meals, as well as pastries, while ensuring timely service, proper stock control, and excellent customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, present, and serve a wide range of savory meals and pastries
• Bake, decorate, and write messages on cakes professionally
• Maintain high standards of food quality, hygiene, and safety
• Support menu development with innovative and seasonal ideas
• Ensure proper kitchen organization, sanitation, and stock rotation
• Lead and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficiency and teamwork
• Manage inventory, request restocking, and minimize waste
• Collaborate to ensure smooth kitchen operations during peak periods
• Demonstrate flexibility and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong culinary expertise in local and international cuisines
• Hands on pastry skills, including cake decoration and piping
• Proven experience in a busy kitchen environment
• Excellent leadership, communication, and teamwork skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
• Good knowledge of cost control and inventory management
• High sense of responsibility, discipline, and professionalism
• Creativity in menu development and food presentation
• Culinary certification or relevant qualification (added advantage)
