Position Summary
The Partnership Coordinator is responsible for developing, managing, and strengthening partnerships with donors, government institutions, NGOs, community organizations, and private-sector actors. The role ensures efficient communication, compliance with partnership agreements, and coordinated implementation of joint activities.
The position requires strong diplomacy, communication, documentation, and relationship management skills.
Key Responsibilities
Partnership Development & Management
- Identify, initiate, and maintain partnerships with NGOs, UN agencies, government ministries, CSOs, and local organizations.
- Support resource mobilization through proposal writing, concept note development, and donor engagement.
- Conduct partner assessments and due diligence processes.
- Manage partnership agreements, MoUs, and contractual compliance.
Coordination & Representation
- Represent GAEFI in coordination meetings, donor forums, and external stakeholder engagements.
- Facilitate joint planning sessions, partner meetings, and collaborative activities.
- Strengthen communication between GAEFI, state actors, and implementing partners.
- Support advocacy initiatives and multi-stakeholder collaboration.
Monitoring, Compliance & Reporting
- Track partner deliverables, activities, reporting timelines, and contractual obligations.
- Ensure partners adhere to donor guidelines, financial compliance, and organizational standards.
- Conduct partnership performance reviews and document outcomes.
- Prepare partnership reports, meeting minutes, briefing notes, and donor updates.
Communication & Relationship Management
- Maintain a partnership database and communication tracking system.
- Share regular updates, success stories, and visibility materials with partners.
- Ensure efficient and professional communication between GAEFI and all external stakeholders.
- Coordinate field visits and partner monitoring missions.
Capacity Building & Support
- Support partners in strengthening organizational capacity, compliance, and reporting quality.
- Organize training sessions on project management, reporting, compliance, and MEAL alignment.
- Provide technical support to partner organizations based on identified gaps.
Internal Collaboration
- Work closely with Program, MEAL, Finance, and Grants teams to ensure harmonized partner engagement.
- Support senior management in strategy development and partner mapping.
Qualifications & Experience
Required
- BSc. in Political Science, Development Studies, Public Administration, International Relations, Management, or related field.
- 3–5 years experience in partnership management, coordination, or donor relations.
- Experience in humanitarian or development organizations.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience in writing proposals, donor reports, and partnership documents.
Added Advantage
- Experience with donor-funded projects (UN, EU, USAID, FCDO, etc.).
- Knowledge of grants management and compliance.
- Experience in coordination roles within NGOs or government agencies.
