About the Role

• We are hiring for our client, a reputable Asset Management Company based in Lagos Island, is seeking a highly driven and experienced Managing Director (MD) to oversee its investment operations, strategic growth, and overall business performance.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the organization’s capital market initiatives, client relations, and portfolio management activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and leadership for all business and investment operations.
• Develop and implement growth strategies to enhance profitability and market share.
• Lead capital market transactions and manage relationships with sponsoring individuals.
• Oversee portfolio performance, asset allocation, and investment decision-making.
• Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements and corporate governance standards.
• Strengthen relationships with investors, regulators, and key stakeholders.
• Drive innovation and new business opportunities within the asset management sector.
• Supervise and mentor senior management to achieve organizational goals.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Master’s degree or MBA is compulsory
• Minimum of 5  - 8 years’ experience in asset management, investment banking, or capital markets.
• Proven experience working with sponsoring individuals and capital market operations.
• Strong leadership, financial acumen, and analytical decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Certification in any of the following- CIPM, CBRM, CCEP-I, CCRA, CFSSP, CCMP, CSLP, CBOP, PMP, CFSA.
