Managing Director/CEO at B. Adedipe Associates Limited (BAA)

Job Objective:

• The role of the Managing Director is to facilitate the strategic direction of the bank and support the Board’s oversight responsibility, to ensure the achievement of the Bank’s vision, mission, and overall strategic and operational goals, while complying with all relevant regulations.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and leadership for the achievement of the Banks’ profitability and growth targets as approved by the Board and consistently meet Key Performance Indicators.
• Maintain awareness of the competitive market landscape, expansion opportunities and industry developments.
• Prepare and lead the execution of the Banks’ corporate, business and functional strategy, and monitor progress against these plans to ensure that the Bank achieves its objectives as cost effectively and efficiently as possible.
• Utilize an extensive network and deep knowledge of the Nigerian market to attract deposits, increase customer acquisition, and expand market share.
• Develop and implement initiatives/interventions required to increase revenue and/or reduce operating costs.
• Lead the Bank’s digital transformation initiatives to drive revenue, operational efficiency and improve accessibility for customers.
• Maintain effective relationship with top-level officers of relevant regulatory agencies and other major stakeholders.
• Ensure that the Bank complies with all regulatory requirements and behaves in a socially responsible manner.
• Perform any other duty assigned by the Board.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in any social sciences or related field
• Advanced degree (MBA) or relevant professional certification in finance or banking (e.g. MCIB, ACIB, ICAN, ACCA).
• Minimum of 12-15 years of experience in banking (preferably in microfinance) with at least 5 years in a senior management role.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of the banking industry, particularly microfinance banking services, regulations, and professional standards.
• Demonstrated ability to drive strategic initiatives and lead organizational change.
• Proven experience in strategic planning, market expansion, digital transformation and revenue generation.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct.
• Excellent organizational, managerial, and decision-making skills.
