As a Manager of Mobile Phone Accessories and Warehouse, you shall have responsibilities for leading the strategy and execution of the accessories business, including product ordering and selection, sales, marketing, and operations. This involves market research, sourcing, inventory management, and ensuring profitability. He/she also plays a key role in team management, training, and customer satisfaction.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Planning and Leadership:
- Develop and implement business strategies, defining the overall direction of the mobile accessories business, setting goals, and identifying growth opportunities.
Conduct market research:
- Understanding customer needs, conducting competitor analysis, and staying informed about emerging trends in the mobile accessories market is crucial.
Procurement & Vendor Coordination
- Identifying the right mix of products, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring quality and competitive pricing are essential.
- Manage product sourcing by ordering (importing) accessories containers, ensuring correct model selection, prioritizing high-performing SKUs, and reducing quantities of slow-moving models.
- Monitoring imported container movement from abroad to the port of discharge, managing shipping documentation (e.g., Bill of Lading), and dispatching documents to clearing agents to prevent demurrage.
- Liaising with clearing agents for prompt clearance and supervising warehouse delivery and offloading processes, while reporting any discrepancies.
- Proposing timely pricing adjustments based on dollar exchange rate fluctuations.
- Determining optimal pricing points and developing effective marketing campaigns to Set pricing and promotional strategies:
- drive sales and profitability across branches
Sales Operations & Performance Monitoring
- Manage and motivate Team Leads across various branches, providing guidance and ensuring they meet sales targets.
- Monitoring sales, inventory, and receivables across branches to ensure efficient distribution and minimize stock shortages.
- Developing and implementing strategies to promote slow-moving models through bundling, promotions, or dealer incentives.
- Sharing regular market intelligence and product performance reports with Iknorbert management and brand partners (Itel and Villaon) to inform policy and promotional planning.
Inventory Management & Stock Control
- Monitoring warehouse stock levels and enforcing FIFO stocking procedures, appropriate stacking, and damage prevention protocols.
- Conducting quarterly stock counts at the central warehouse and periodic physical audits across branches to reconcile inventory with system records.
- Tracking goods entering and leaving the warehouse, ensuring accurate stock transfers, and investigating discrepancies.
Logistics & Fleet Management
- Coordinating logistics and distribution of goods to all branches using internal fleet and contracted trucks (especially for Northern Nigeria Branches).
- Negotiating transport rates with third-party logistics providers to ensure cost-effective and reliable delivery.
- Ensuring optimal inventory levels, coordinating with suppliers, and managing the supply chain to ensure timely delivery of products to Iknorbert Branches across Nigeria.
- Monitor the Branches\' Sales performance and profitability.
REQUIREMENTS
- Master\'s Degree / B.Sc / HND in relevant field is an advantage.
- 5 - 12 years of Experience in the Management and Sales of Mobile Phone Accessories
- 5 - 12 years of Warehouse and Logistics / Trucks Management
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Very Good in Microsoft Suite: Excel, PowerPoint, Word (ADVANCED EXCEL KNOWLEDGE IS MANDATORY)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proximity to Ikeja is an added advantage.
