    Technical Procurement Specialist

    Location: Lagos (Port Harcourt candidates welcome)

    We are supporting a leading player in the Gas and Energy Infrastructure sector to hire a Technical Procurement Specialist to support project execution within a technically driven environment.

    This role is suited for a hands-on procurement professional with strong experience supporting engineering and project teams, particularly within Oil & Gas or EPC-led projects.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Plan and execute procurement activities for technical materials, equipment, and services required for projects
    • Manage RFQs, bid openings, technical and commercial evaluations, and supplier selection
    • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms with vendors and service providers
    • Support procurement of long-lead items and bulk materials, including expediting and inspections
    • Work closely with engineering, project, and supply chain teams to ensure timely delivery
    • Maintain supplier performance reviews covering quality, cost, delivery, and service
    • Support project close-out activities and continuous improvement initiatives

    Requirements

    • Minimum of 5 years’ post-graduate experience in technical procurement
    • Background in Oil & Gas, EPC, engineering, or construction project environments
    • Strong experience with RFQs, bid evaluations, supplier negotiations, and contract administration
    • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and bills of materials
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools
    • Relevant engineering or commercial degree required
    • CIPS certification is an added advantage
