Maintenance Officer at Alles Charis Gas Limited

Job Summary:

• The Maintenance Officer is responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs to ensure that buildings, equipment, and facilities remain in excellent working condition.
• This role involves inspecting, troubleshooting, and fixing issues related to electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and structural systems while ensuring safety and compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections of buildings and equipment to identify maintenance needs.
• Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving maintenance issues efficiently.
• Ensure all tools and equipment are properly maintained and stored.
• Implement scheduled maintenance programs to prevent breakdowns.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities and report any major issues to the Maintenance Manager.
• Ensure heating, cooling, and ventilation systems are functioning correctly.
• Ensure maintenance activities comply with health and safety regulations.
• Identify and report any potential hazards within the premises.
• Assist in emergency maintenance tasks, such as power outages, leaks, or equipment failures.
• Reports directly to the maintenance manager on all maintenance related issues.
• Work closely with other departments to address maintenance needs.
• Supervise and coordinate with external contractors when necessary.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of a diploma or technical certification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 2-3 years post NYSC experience in maintenance roles
• Basic understanding of mechanical systems, electrical systems, and equipment used in LPG facilities. Ability to use maintenance tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Knowledge of safety standards related to gas handling and maintenance procedures (e.g., HSE certification).
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and technical issues efficiently.
