Maintenance Manager, Mechanical - Golden Penny Foods - Golden Pasta (Iganmu) at Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc

Purpose  

• To coordinate maintenance activities across the Golden Noodles plant, ensuring equipment reliability, optimum plant performance, and uninterrupted production through effective preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance strategies while maintaining compliance with HSE, quality, and statutory requirements.

The Job  

• Coordinating and overseeing all maintenance activities to ensure plant machinery remains available and operates at optimum capacity. 
• Developing and implementing preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs to achieve equipment reliability and OEE targets. 
• Reviewing maintenance reports, downtime trends, and repair activities to identify improvement opportunities and drive corrective actions. 
• Allocating maintenance jobs to supervisors and technical teams while ensuring effective manpower planning across shifts. 
• Building and developing a high-performing maintenance team through coaching, performance management, and technical capability development. 
• Managing maintenance budgets, spare parts planning, and procurement activities, including local and overseas purchases. 
• Ensuring strict compliance with HSE requirements, including Permit-to-Work (PTW), Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO), confined space entry, and machine safety procedures. 

Qualifications 

• Minimum of B.Sc./B.Eng. or HND in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.

Experience: 

• Minimum of five (5) years' relevant maintenance experience within an FMCG, manufacturing, or related industry.

The Person Must:   

• Possess strong leadership and people management skills. 
• Demonstrate expertise in maintenance planning, troubleshooting, reliability engineering tools (RCA, FMEA), and CMMS/ERP systems. 
• Have excellent analytical, budgeting, and vendor management capabilities. 
• Be able to interpret engineering drawings, manuals, and technical documentation.
