Accountant at Sarabel Logistics and Security Services Limited

 We are seeking a competent and experienced Accountant to lead the Company’s Accounting Department and ensure accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and effective financial management.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Maintaining accurate books of accounts and financial records.
• Managing petty cash transactions and ensuring proper documentation.
• Preparing regular bank reconciliations.
• Establishing and maintaining accounting records for all clients and company operations.
• Preparing monthly management accounts and other financial reports.
• Managing statutory tax obligations, including PAYE, VAT, Withholding Tax and other applicable taxes.
• Managing payroll, employee payslips and pension remittances.
• Preparing and processing client invoices.
• Monitoring receivables, following up on outstanding payments and supporting debt recovery.
• Managing accounts payable and ensuring timely payment of approved obligations.
• Supporting budgeting, financial planning and management decision-making.
• Performing any other accounting and finance-related duties assigned by Management.

Qualifications and Skills

• Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Relevant professional accounting qualification will be an advantage.
• Good knowledge of Nigerian tax, payroll and pension regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills.
• High level of integrity, accuracy and attention to detail.
• Relevant accounting experience, preferably in a structured corporate environment.
