Job Summary:

• We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Officer to join our team.
• The Logistics Officer will play a crucial role in managing the day-to-day logistics operations, ensuring the efficient flow of goods and materials from point of origin to final destination.
• The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of supply chain management, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to optimize logistics processes.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods.
• Collaborate with suppliers, manufacturers, and customers to facilitate smooth logistics operations.
• Manage inventory levels to optimize stock levels and minimize excess or shortages.
• Conduct regular inventory audits and implement strategies to reduce carrying costs.
• Arrange and monitor transportation of goods, both domestic and international.
• Select appropriate carriers, negotiate contracts, and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
• Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, including shipping manifests, invoices, and customs documentation.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and trade laws.
• Address and resolve logistics issues, such as transportation delays, customs clearance problems, and damaged goods.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement effective solutions.
• Work towards optimizing logistics costs without compromising on quality and efficiency.
• Analyze logistics data to identify cost-saving opportunities and implement cost-effective strategies.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to provide updates on logistics activities.
• Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure a seamless flow of information.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Logistics Officer or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain management principles.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Proficiency in using logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of relevant regulations and laws governing logistics operations.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills.
