Job Summary:
We require a Head of Logistics who will lead and oversee all logistics, transportation, and operational support functions for travel and flight bookings. This includes end-to-end coordination of client travel logistics (airport, ground transportation), vendor partnerships, service delivery, and strategic planning. The role plays a key part in ensuring seamless, safe, and efficient travel experiences for both corporate and individual clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic & Operational Leadership
- Design and implement the company’s logistics strategy to support flight bookings, travel itineraries, and ground operations.
- Align logistics planning with client travel schedules and booking trends.
- Continuously optimize processes for cost-efficiency, punctuality, and service quality.
Ground Transport & Fleet Management
- Oversee scheduling, dispatch, routing, and tracking of airport transfers, chauffeur services, and group transportation.
- Ensure availability and readiness of company-owned or partner vehicles and staff.
- Implement fleet management systems and ensure preventive maintenance and licensing compliance.
Vendor & Partner Coordination
- Build and manage strong relationships with third-party logistics providers, airport service agencies, and transportation partners.
- Negotiate contracts, SLAs, and KPIs to ensure service reliability and value.
Travel Support & Client Experience
- Ensure logistics support is integrated with flight bookings and customer service systems.
- Coordinate real-time solutions for client delays, missed flights, baggage issues, or rerouting needs.
- Supervise meet-and-greet and airport concierge services (where applicable).
Compliance, Risk & Safety
- Maintain strict adherence to national transportation and aviation-related regulations.
- Lead efforts in driver training, safety protocols, incident response, and insurance coverage.
- Ensure data security and confidentiality when handling customer travel information.
Team Management
- Lead a multidisciplinary team of logistics officers, dispatchers, airport representatives, and drivers.
- Set performance goals, manage schedules, and drive operational excellence through training and motivation.
Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Track KPIs related to delivery times, client satisfaction, fleet utilization, and cost efficiency.
- Generate and present operational performance reports to senior leadership.
- Lead digital transformation and innovation in logistics operations (e.g., app-based booking, GPS tracking, automated scheduling).
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor\'s degree in Logistics, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
- 8+ years of experience in logistics or transportation, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience in travel, hospitality, aviation support, or transport logistics preferred.
- Familiarity with airport operations and flight coordination is a strong advantage.
