    Learning & Development Manager

    Role Overview

    • We are seeking a motivated, proactive, and innovative Learning & Development Manager to join the Green Schools for Climate Action Project.
    • This role is ideal for a professional who is passionate about building capacity, designing impactful learning programs, and fostering skills development for young people, educators, and community stakeholders.
    • The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and delivering high-quality training programs, including climate education, vocational training for climate-focused careers, and professional development for teachers and facilitators.
    • You will ensure that learning interventions are practical, engaging, and aligned with project objectives, including climate resilience, sustainability, and community impact.

    Key Responsibilities
    Learning Program Design & Delivery:

    • Develop, implement, and manage training programs for schools, community stakeholders, and project staff.
    • Design climate education curricula and vocational training modules
    • Coordinate delivery of workshops, seminars, and experiential learning activities in the field.
    • Ensure learning programs are practical, measurable, and aligned with project goals.
    • Work closely with the project lead on climate change curriculum research, gap analysis and design.

    Capacity Building & Mentorship:

    • Train facilitators, teachers, and field staff to deliver high-quality education and community programs.
    • Mentor participants to build skills and connect them to climate-focused career pathways and project funding opportunities.
    • Support continuous professional development for project teams to strengthen delivery capacity.

    Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting:

    • Track participation, learning outcomes, and impact metrics to measure program effectiveness.
    • Develop reports, dashboards, and presentations on training activities for the Project Lead and stakeholders.
    • Ensure documentation, lesson plans, and learning materials are updated, accessible, and high-quality.

    Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:

    • Work closely with the Project Lead, Implementation Manager, and Delivery Manager to align learning programs with project activities.
    • Engage with schools, communities, and partners to ensure training meets local needs and is culturally relevant.
    • Incorporate feedback and lessons learned to continuously improve learning interventions.

    Requirement

    • 3 years experience designing and delivering learning programs, ideally in climate change, sustainability, or development contexts.
    • Skill in curriculum design, training delivery, and capacity-building for diverse audiences.
    • Experience mentoring youth or professionals, including linking them to career pathways or funding opportunities.
    • Are highly organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple programs in field-based environments.
    • Possess excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
