    Lead, Sales & Business Development (Business Unit)

    Business Unit: Cooperative Business (B2B2C)

    This Business Unit serves cooperatives, associations, saving groups and other relevant groups. The platforms CoBanking and CoAgent are served to cooperatives and their members, helping to automate and manage all their processes and financial records.

    Role Description

    As Sales lead, you will be responsible for driving sales for the Business Unit. You will work closely with the Management, and will lead the Sales Team to target, develop, and close high-value relationship across the business.

    To be successful in this position, you will need to be an exceptionally creative, solution-oriented and a well-organized salesperson, as well as an excellent leader and a critical thinker.

    Responsibilities:

    • Work closely with the management team, and the Sales Team to accelerate the sales commercials of the business unit.
    • Function as both a ‘player’ and a ‘coach’, spending time both operating to close clients on the front lines and guiding the team’s development.
    • Optimize and evolve all of the team’s inbound and outbound sales processes through data-driven, results-oriented evaluation and experimentation.
    • Develop account prioritization criteria and work with members of the Sales Team to prioritize their target client portfolios.
    • Build, maintain, grow and manage C-level and other relevant relationships with executives from clients in your team’s portfolio.
    • Ensuring efficient delivery of platform services to client. Working with the customer success and product team on resolving issues.
    • Regularly meet with members of the Sales Team to review activity, guide further direction, evaluate performance, and develop coaching plans.
    • Work closely with the Head of Growth to evaluate and evolve the team’s short-, medium-, and long-term tactics for establishing Riby as the leading provider of cooperative platform and services in the space.
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts and ensure the targets are achieved
    • Provide customer feedback and advice to Product, Content, and Marketing teams
    • Define geographic focuses or vertically assigned industries for members of your Sales Team, and work with them to develop strategic sales playbooks tailored to each client segment.
    • Develop and execute a plan for scaling the team structure and goals, as well as the interviewing standards and hiring plans needed to achieve these goals.
    • Present the highest level of professionalism and passion through presentations, marketing materials/events, quotes & proposals
    • Oversee payment by clients and following up on receivables
    • Set aggressive sales goals for your team and take full ownership over leading the team to meet those goals.
    • Responsible for reporting Sales progress and achievements in a timely manner to direct and indirect reporting lines.
    • Perform other duties as may be required

    Skills & Requirements:

    Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree

    • 4+ years of proven success leading professional service sales including staffing and/or project sales, with relationships ranging from director-level to C-level contacts.
    • Successful experience as a sales team leader at a rapidly growing Fintech organization.
    • Understanding of B2B and B2B2C sales strategies, models and tactics, as well as proven capabilities in implementing them.
    • Fair understanding of the cooperative space, how they operate and are structured.
    • Extensive experience in building, maintaining, managing large sales pipelines of clients across multiple segments
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced start-up environment
    • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency as well as being solution and result oriented
    • You must be a creative, entrepreneurial salesperson with exceptional leadership and critical thinking skills.
    • Understanding of Business metrics, Product, Marketing and Sales, and their relationship.
    • You must be an exceptional individual contributor and coach who can both work with salespeople on the front lines as well as develop and execute coaching plans for the team’s continued development.
    • You must have a strong understanding of how to navigate large and small organizations to assess which accounts are in need of our specific resources, as well as a strong ability to evaluate the merit of creative new tactics.
    • An exceptional rolodex and a strong ability to successfully leverage relationships both individually and as a team.
    • You must have exceptional discipline, attention to detail, and motivation. You must be fully capable of leading the team in responding to consistent challenges and going above and beyond as needed.
    • You must have excellent written and oral communication skills in both large and small groups. This includes being fully capable of building and maintaining a respected boardroom presence.
