Validate new, existing, and ad hoc compliance documents against legal documentation and third-party sources, remedying errors as necessary for customers managed by supported business units.
Ensure all required customer information and supporting documentation are captured for new and existing customers undergoing triggering events or material changes by coordinating with Business Unit Relationship Managers and the Corporate Account Management Team.
Review and validate resubmitted documents and update systems accordingly as needed.
Track onboarding requests, reassess pipelines, and manage assignments as necessary.
Monitor, research, analyze, and address all essential compliance activities, including drilling down on beneficial ownership for higher-risk clients, identifying politically exposed individuals (PEPs), negative media, and sanctions issues.
Maintain detailed tracking of compliance document statuses and other customer record activities to ensure completion within required timeframes.
Implement process improvements to create efficiencies.
Verify and approve accounts.
Authorize fund transfers.
Verify AML (Anti-Money Laundering) status checks.
Confirm the legitimacy of customers and transactions.
Analyze payment transactions and identify unusual or suspicious patterns or behaviors.
Conduct checks on client information and assess political exposure, adverse media, and sanctions connections.
Perform any other duties as assigned by the Compliance Supervisor or other management.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
Relevant certifications in compliance, AML (Anti-Money Laundering), or KYC are a plus.
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a KYC, KYB, AML, or compliance role, preferably from Fintech, digital banking payment provider or related industry.
Experience with compliance documentation and regulatory requirements.
Ability to analyze complex information and identify potential risks.
Ensuring accuracy in documentation and compliance processes.
Strong verbal and written communication skills for coordinating with internal teams and external clients.
Ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
Efficiently manage multiple tasks and maintain detailed records.
Familiarity with compliance software, KYC/KYB tools, and database management.
Understanding of relevant regulations, including AML laws, data privacy regulations, and financial compliance standards.
Demonstrates honesty and strong ethical principles.
Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Works well within a team, supporting colleagues and contributing to a collaborative environment.
Willingness to continuously update knowledge of industry regulations and compliance standards.
