Role Description

• This is a full-time role as an Investment Banking Analyst based in Lagos.
• In this role, you will be responsible for financial modelling, conducting due diligence, analysing data, and supporting investment banking activities.

Key Responsibilities 

Financial Modelling:

• Build and maintain detailed financial models to forecast future performance and valuation.
• Use quantitative techniques to evaluate the financial health and potential of companies.
• Analyze historical financial statements and project future earnings, cash flows, and growth rates.
• Analyzes financial data to assist in making investment decisions. They often prepare investment teasers and pitch decks for prospective investments and provide financial advice based on their analysis.

Investment Due Diligence:

• Perform thorough due diligence on potential investments, including analyzing financial statements, management quality, and competitive positioning.
• Evaluate risks and returns associated with investment opportunities.
• Conduct site visits, meet with company management, and engage with industry experts to gather insights.

Preparation of Investment Materials:

• Prepare investment teasers, pitch decks, and presentations that highlight the key aspects of investment opportunities.
• Create detailed investment memos and reports that summarize findings and recommendations.
• Ensure all materials are clear, comprehensive, and tailored to the target audience (e.g., internal teams, investors, clients).

Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills, with expertise in financial modeling and investment banking
• Experience in conducting due diligence and analyzing financial data
• Knowledge of finance and investment banking principles
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CFA) are a plus
