Job Summary:

The Internal Audit Officer is responsible for conducting audits across assigned locations to ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and regulatory standards. The role involves assessing financial and operational risks, identifying areas for improvement, and ensuring the integrity of business processes. The officer will provide recommendations to enhance efficiency, reduce risks, and support the organization\\\'s overall governance framework.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct financial, operational, and compliance audits at assigned locations.
• Evaluate internal controls, identify weaknesses, and recommend corrective actions.
• Review station records, cash transactions, inventory management, and procurement processes for accuracy and compliance.
• Monitor and report on revenue leakages, fraud risks, and non-compliance issues.
• Assess adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and best practices.
• Investigate irregularities and report findings to management.
• Conduct spot checks at locations to ensure compliance.
• Collaborate with station managers and other departments to improve internal processes.
• Ensure timely reporting of audit findings and follow up on implementation of corrective actions.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in internal audit, risk management, or compliance.
• Professional certification such as ICAN is an added advantage.
• Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of audit principles, financial reporting, and internal control frameworks.
