    Instrument Supervisor M/F

    KEY RESPONSIBILITY:
    Supervision & Execution

    • The Instrument Supervisor shall oversee day-to-day field installation activities for all instrumentation systems including field instruments, control valves, transmitters, analyzers, flow meters, pressure/temperature instruments, junction boxes, instrument cable trays, tubing, and associated equipment.
    • He/she shall coordinate with piping, electrical, and structural disciplines to ensure seamless interface management and sequence of work.
    • The supervisor shall interpret and work from engineering drawings, P&IDs, instrument index, loop diagrams, hook-up drawings, and installation specifications.

    Testing & Pre-Commissioning

    • The supervisor shall lead and oversee instrument loop checking, calibration, functional testing, and pre-commissioning activities for all field instruments, DCS/PLC/ESD inputs and outputs.
    • He/she shall ensure all instruments are calibrated using certified calibration equipment and that calibration records are maintained in the approved format.
    • The role also requires witnessing and participating in vendor-specific tests and FAT/SAT activities as required.

    Quality Assurance & Documentation

    • The Instrument Supervisor shall ensure all works comply with ITP (Inspection and Test Plan) requirements and that relevant QC documentation - including MDRs, red-line markups, test records, and punch lists - are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
    • He/she shall coordinate with the QC Inspector and third-party inspection agencies (e.g., COMPANY representatives, NIPEX, etc.) during witnessing and hold points.

    Manpower & Resource Management

    • The Instrument Supervisor shall plan and manage daily crew allocation including instrument technicians, helpers, and subcontract personnel.
    • He/she shall monitor productivity, identify resource gaps, and report to the Superintendent for corrective action.

    QHSE

    • Ensures HSE policy fulfillment during his activities
    • Maintains a strong safety culture in line with Company HSE Requirements and Rules
    • Ensures compliance with Operating Procedures & Guidelines with the asset to ensure Process Safety, Operational Safety and Plan Integrity
    • Contribution to Hazard Analyses, incident investigations, Root Cause, Failure
    • Analyses, process incidents advising his hierarchy about HSE issues and proposing corrective solutions.
    • Management System, including permit-to-work (PTW) procedures, SIMOPS, tool box talks, and job hazard analyses (JHA). He/she shall immediately address and report any unsafe acts or conditions in the work area

    QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

    • Education: Minimum HND or B.Sc. in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation & Control Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
    • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in oil and gas instrumentation construction and pre-commissioning, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role on major EPC projects. Offshore or Deepwater project experience is a distinct advantage.

    Technical Competencies:

    • Proficient in reading and interpreting P&IDs, loop diagrams, instrument data sheets, hook-up drawings, and cable schedules
    • Hands-on experience with DCS, ESD, F&G, and SCADA systems
    • Sound knowledge of international standards including ISA, IEC 61511, IEC 60079 (hazardous area), and IEC 61000
    • Familiarity with instrument calibration procedures and use of HART communicators and field calibrators
    • Experience with completions management systems (e.g., ICAPS, Procore, or similar) is an advantage

    Certifications (Preferred): CompEx or equivalent hazardous area certification
