GPON provides life-skill education and psychosocial support to conflict-affected, WaSH community or camp services, Education in emergency services, Gender-based Violence mitigation services, Child protection service, Protection monitoring services, Nutrition and public health services.
GOALPrime Organization Nigeria (GPON) is a policy-driven humanitarian, non-governmental organization that implements her program through revitalized partnership. It is a non-profit organization with a mandate of making the lives of vulnerable people especially in the face of disaster or crises. GPON is presently operating in the North-eastern regional part of Nigeria where we have reached over 1,000,000 lives with relief materials, child protection services, GBV mitigation services, livelihood skill-building, health services, and Education support services.
For the next twelve months, GPON shall be implementing a CPiE project with funding support from the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), in Maiduguri, Mafa, Jere, Damboa, Dikwa, Bama, Banki, Ngala and Konduga LGAs of Borno state. This is a one-year project with an option to extend it. As a result, we are looking for people with the highest level of honesty and professionalism who share our humanitarian values for the above positions.
Minimum Qualification & Requirements :
- BSc/Higher National Diploma Degree in fine arts with 1-2 years of working experience in any related field.
- Prior work experience as an Illustrator, graphic designer, or similar, Work experience using computer-aided design (CAD) software
- Drawing painting and digital drawing skills.
- Knowledge of image editing and design software such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong conceptual and artistic skills
Job overview: Under the Supervision of the Project Coordinator, the Illustrator will use creative skills to create project focus and child friendly & provide creative input and ideas for GOALPrime content and development
Responsibilities
Major Responsibilities
- Read scripts and storylines to understand illustrations requirements
- Draws or paints illustrations for project use
- Determines style, technique, and medium best suited to produce desired effects and conform with reproduction requirements or receives specific instructions regarding these variables.
- Formulates concept and renders illustration and detail from models, sketches, memory, and imagination.
- Discusses illustration at various stages of completion and makes changes, as necessary.
- Preparing finished art by operating the necessary equipment and software
- Working creatively to produce original and aesthetically pleasing designs and solutions
- Taking audio from our events/projects archive and using this to create new illustration outputs
- Identify areas in which illustration could augment and feed into existing projects
- Support the media FP in production of internal and external communications, assisted in sub-editing and proofreading of communications products including but not limited to success stories, photographs, video and social media.
- Assisting and playing a key role in the production of capacity building communication materials like toolkits, publications, documentaries, and IEC materials.
- Co-managing a knowledge base for creating and distributing animator content with support from project teams and senior management.
- Supporting in the organization of all Advocacy campaigns, sensitizations, and outreaches.
- Assist in organizing the celebration of international days and campaigns in all project locations.
- Playing a key role in effective dissemination of information across all board to ensure effective actualization of the organisation goals.
- Perform any other duties and responsibilities related to Social Media assigned by the Manager

- Regular and open communication with GOALPrime staff from all departments and field offices.
- Donor Engagement and Fundraising.
- Ensure that funds for continuity and scale-up of Programmes/operations are secured at most 6 months into this contract.
Languages: Fluency in English is required. Working knowledge of Hausa is an advantage.
