    Human Resources Manager (Healthcare Diagnostics)

    Job Summary

    • The HR Manager provides strategic leadership for BTHDC’s healthcare diagnostics business by developing and implementing HR strategies aligned with organizational goals. The role oversees core HR functions, drives employee engagement, ensures compliance with labour laws, and promotes a positive work culture while adapting global HR initiatives and supporting team performance and growth.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing the operations of the Human Resources department.
    • Collaborates with departmental managers to assess HR needs and coordinate training and recruitment.
    • Develops and implements labor relations policies, negotiates collective agreements, and ensures legal compliance.
    • Manages employee development, health and safety programs, and advises on HR policies and procedures.
    • Leads quality management initiatives and conducts employee engagement activities related to compensation and benefits.

    Key Areas of Accountability

    • The HR manager fosters a performance-driven, employee-focused culture aligned with business goals.
    • They manage talent acquisition, compensation, and ensure regulatory compliance.
    • The HR manager reviews appraisals, advises leadership, and supports succession planning.
    • They work with team leads to identify training needs and implement development programs.
    • The HR manager oversees HR documentation, exit strategies, and aligns compensation with performance.

    Requirements

    • A minimum of bachelor’s degree is required. Master’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business, Public Administration, Industrial Relations, Organizational Psychology or any other related discipline is preferred.
    • 7 years of relevant and progressive HR generalist responsibility (i.e. handling employee relations compensation, recruiting and performance management) and leadership experience with clear career progression.
    • Professional certifications and/or membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM), Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD) and/or HR Certification Institute (HRCI).
    • Practical experience with interpreting local labour laws.
    • Proficient in current Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and web-based applications.
    • Must have excellent writing and communication skills.
    • Must be able to work in teams/managing self and relationships.
    • Must be emotionally intelligent to relate with colleagues.
    • Ability to work independently on his/her initiative with problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure to deadlines and stress.
    • Strong sense of personal integrity.
