Human Resources Generalist at Frutta Foods and Services Nigeria Limited

• Frutta, a leading manufacturing company based in Lagos, is hiring a human resources generalist. The HR Generalist will be responsible for supporting the daily functions of the Human Resources department, particularly within a manufacturing setting. This includes recruitment, onboarding, HR administration, employee relations, and compliance with labour laws. The ideal candidate is a young, proactive professional with experience in factory-based environments who can work effectively with employees across all levels.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with recruitment and selection processes including job postings, CV screening, and interview coordination.
• Facilitate onboarding and orientation of new staff to ensure seamless integration.
• Maintain and update employee records and HR databases.
• Monitor attendance, leaves, and punctuality in line with company policy.
• Support employee engagement activities and welfare initiatives.
• Assist in managing disciplinary and grievance procedures.
• Collaborate with line managers to support workforce planning and performance management.
• Ensure compliance with Nigerian labour laws and internal HR policies.
• Coordinate learning and development activities, training sessions, and HR communications.
• Prepare HR reports, memos, and employee documentation as required.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or related field.
• 2–5 years of relevant HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Professional certification in HR (CIPM) is an added advantage.

Working Conditions

• Work is conducted on-site in a factory setting with occasional visits to the head office.
• May involve exposure to factory operations, including machinery and shift workers.
