    Human Resources Business Partner

    About the job

    • The HR Business Partner (HRBP) position is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees’ engagement initiatives. The position formulates partnerships across Mutual Assurance Group to deliver value added service to management in performance and compensation management and also in development of staff competencies.

    Responsibilities

    • Drive Employee engagement activities and work-life balance practices in MBA
    • Update current HR policy and provide guidance to Line Managers on HR policies, ensuring the right interpretation of the policies are applied in managing human resources
    • Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale and increase productivity as well as, staff retention.
    • Anticipate and resolve complex employee relations issues before they impact on the business, by continuously engaging relevant Line Managers and conducting thorough investigations when required.
    • Develop Job Description for all roles and communicate same to all staff
    • Develop Succession Planning for all critical roles to improve Mutual bench strength
    • Ensure review and implementation of HR policies, processes and procedures in line with leading practices.
    • Oversee the planning and forecasting of manning requirements, including the monitoring of the organisation structure and manning levels.
    • Collaborate with other HR members to review the HR policies, procedures and practices to ensure it aligns with current realities, strengthens our Employee Value Proposition (EVP) and supports staff retention.
    • Initiate and implement appropriate staff engagement/bonding activities to strengthen workplace relationships, diffuse camps and boost staff productivity & retention
    • Hold engagement sessions to socialize HR policies and initiatives to encourage by-in and ensure an engaged workforce.
    • Facilitate exit discussions to gather data on reasons for staff exits and possible processes/amendments to improve retention.
    • Supervise Performance Management by identifying and establish performance standards for the company
    • Ensure all staff set quantifiable and measurable KPI and monitor alignment on KPI setting companywide within set deadline
    • Monitors and tracks Annual Performance Appraisal calendar
    • Anchor redesigning of Mutual performance management system
    • Ensure performance driven system is implemented, and continuously monitor end to end performance evaluation
    • Introduce Reward & Recognition framework
    • Work with Business Leaders to ensure close monitoring for staff on PIP so they can improve within 6 months’ timeline
    • Supervise development of learning and career strategy and ensure its alignment to organizational objectives.
    • Supervise training budget, monitor and provide cost control measures.
    • Anchor identification of annual training needs and competency gaps.
    • Monitor the development and design of training programs for staff to ensure it addresses identified training gaps.
    • Ensure quality trainers are selected and monitor training content aligns with training needs
    • Evaluate the implementation of training programs and initiatives to ensure return on investment.
    • Monitor evaluation of the impact of training on staff performance to measure training effectiveness.
    • Provide comprehensive training report on various metrics related to training for Management.
    • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements for ITF and full reimbursement
    • Supervise Compensation management team

    • Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner, gather and analyse information skilfully, develop alternative solutions.

    • Minimum of 7 years HR experience
