HSW Manager will be responsible for developing and delivering a health, safety and environmental risk management strategy that enables the IFM business to comply with client and statutory requirements in its operations throughout responsible region.
What This Job Involves
Provide guidance and advice on EHS management at all levels of the organization.
Coordinate with local regulators on implementation of country laws that includes ISO 45001 certifications etc
Implement and maintain an EHS management system tailored to JLL’s IFM program needs.
Provide guidance to IFM Team and Project Managers on how to obtain competent assessments of all EHS risks and report on the control of that risk.
Assist with, and ensure, the completion of appropriate project EHS documentation including construction plans, risk assessments, method statements, etc.
Operate a program of project site audits and reports by EHS specialists independent from their direct line management.
Assist in driving the Safety Champion program
Collate and review accident reports, investigate accidents and make recommendation to prevent reoccurrence.
Provide monthly reports on safety issues that includes accident statistics/risk profile dash board etc.
Assist the procurement team in accrediting services and goods supply contractors for work in client properties.
Liaise with EHS management specialists elsewhere in JLL to ensure common standards of best practice are achieved throughout the company’s world-wide business.
Establish and chair a committee comprising of on-account EHS specialists to ensure sharing and development of best practice.
Provide regular updates and training on key legislative changes that impact the IFM program and projects being delivered in our clients’ buildings
Liaise with key stakeholders on sustainability initiatives
Gain positive feedback on the HSSE program from internal & external stakeholders including Client/Account/BU Leadership.
Report HSSE performance data as required for key risk indicators. Monitor and analyse the data to identify local improvement initiatives.
Tracking and report account/business line performance against annual KPI’s.
Ensure monthly work hours are entered onto system for JLL team / contractors.
Identify business efficiencies and savings opportunities
Use Enhesa portfolio for compliance register update
All new contracts are reviewed to identify non-standard scope and sufficient HSSE resources are identified as per the HSSE
Demonstrate organisational compliance with JLL and client Global standards and legal requirements by Geo/Region - All jurisdictions in the region to have a completed legal compliance assessment in Enhesa against the JLL HSSE and client standards.
All sites/accounts/business units to complete a self-assessment against the JLL Global HSSE standards and develop subsequent corrective action plans where required.
Promoting JLL Global Safety Week and other activities which kicks off on April 24th with the theme of ‘United in Safety’: One Team S.A.F.E.R. Together’.
Using the ‘Going Beyond Program’ to raise awareness of good catches & near-misses.
Promote HSSE and HSSE Culture: implement the One Team SAFER together programme and identity and drive ownership of HSE through operational teams.
Improving Contractor Management Safety.
Site Induction training for all the onsite staff and sub-contractors.
Risk assessments on operating procedures to be completed for the housekeeping staff to identify any processes that expose staff to risk (This action is to be implemented across the portfolio i.e. West Africa
All site teams to be provided with training on JLL's global standards on contractor management. staff (This action is to be implemented across the portfolio)
MSDS and RA/Method Statements for all Medium/High risk activities to be issued/reviewed and implemented.
Review and update the SCB/JLL Workplace HSSE Assessment
Complete all mandatory E-Learnings (SCB)
Creating lessons learnt and best practice slide deck after completion of building inspections.
Improving Contractor Management Safety.
Skills And Experience
At least 5 years’ experience in an EHS management role
2 years of proven work in IFM business
At least 3-5 years of experience to deal with ISO 45001 audits and other regulator compliance/audits
Capable of strategic thinking based on operational EHS management experience, ideally across Cluster.
Capable of developing and implementing mechanisms and structures to drive EHS performance across Cluster.
Involvement in Environmental/ Corporate/ Social responsibility areas.
Knowledge of relevant HSE legislation, codes of practice and industry standards
Experience of working in a multi-site and multi-cultural environment
Strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, persuasion, and perseverance.
Strong organizational skills, analytical ability, and communication.
Initiative-taking with the ability to enthuse and manage multi-cultural teams.
Good client management/stakeholder management skills
Ability to manage a diverse and fluctuating workload
Knowledge and experience of accident & incident investigation and cause analysis and be able to lead an investigation
Ability to deliver HSEQ training at all levels
Presentation skills – including to large groups
Competent IT skills including use of Microsoft Office programs (Word; Excel; Power point)
