Head Technician (Electrical / Refrigeration & Cold - Rooms) at VESA Fisheries Limited

Location: Benin City, Edo State.
Department: Engineering / Technical.
Reports to: Head of Operations
Grade: Senior level

Job Expectation Summary

• A Technician with 6-8 years practical electrical cold room experience is required to be responsible for the repair and maintenance of cold rooms in Benin City.
• He will be responsible for maintaining standards across all the cold rooms.
• He will be responsible for the overall performance of the various units and ensure zero down time of the cold room machines and equipment.
• He is expected to lead, mentor, supervise, train and appraise technicians.

Essential Responsibilities
He will be expected to:

• Generate daily weekly and monthly performance/status report of cold rooms.
• Handle general repairs and maintenance.
• See to the functionality of respective units, marshals across the various cold rooms.
• Handle emergencies as they occur.
• Strong capacity to lead, supervise, mentor and train.
• Supervision of diesel supply.
• Management of the generators and electrical energy
• Installation of new electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Proficiencies in Microsoft office suites
• Strong leadership propensities
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Qualification and Experience

• Candidates should possess an FSLC qualification with 6 - 8 years work experience.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite
• Familiarity with cold-rooms and cold-room units is a must.
• Familiarity with industrial and / or commercial electrical systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong critical thinking skills
• Strong leadership skills.
