House Parents at Premiere Academy

Role Summary

The House Parent will provide pastoral care, supervision and support for boarding students, ensuring their safety, wellbeing, discipline and academic engagement in a structured home-away-from-home environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and care for boarding students daily (including evenings and weekends).
• Monitor student welfare, hygiene, behaviour and safety.
• Enforce boarding routines and discipline.
• Supervise evening prep/homework sessions.
• Maintain boarding records and incident reports.
• Support recreational and weekend activities.
• Liaise with parents, teachers and school management.
• Ensure compliance with safeguarding and child protection policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Education, Psychology, Guidance & Counselling, Social Work or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience working with children/teenagers in a school, hostel or childcare setting.
• Strong communication, supervision and conflict-resolution skills.
• High level of responsibility, integrity and emotional intelligence.
• First Aid knowledge is an added advantage.
• Must be willing to live on the school premises.
