Head of Financial Control (FinCon) at Beacongate Limited

About the Role

• Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Financial Control (FinCon) to lead its finance team.
• The ideal candidate will oversee financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and strategic planning to ensure the bank’s long-term financial health and performance

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all financial operations, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Ensure full compliance with CBN, NDIC, and FRCN financial reporting standards.
• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Develop and implement effective internal controls, accounting policies, and risk management frameworks.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management for strategic decision-making.
• Supervise and mentor the finance team to ensure high performance and accountability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
• Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA, or CPA) is mandatory.
• Minimum of 6–10 years’ experience in financial control, audit, or finance management within a Microfinance Bank or Financial Institution.
• Strong understanding of CBN regulations, MFB reporting standards, and financial risk management.
• Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in accounting software and financial systems.
