    Head of Account - Benin

    Job Summary

    • The Head of Accounts will oversee the organization's financial operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain compliance with regulatory standards, and provide strategic financial guidance to support business growth and sustainability.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Supervise and manage the accounts and finance team
    • Prepare and review financial statements and management reports
    • Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and financial forecasting
    • Ensure accurate accounting records and proper documentation
    • Manage payroll, tax filings, and statutory remittances
    • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies
    • Coordinate audits and liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies
    • Monitor revenue, expenses, and cost control measures
    • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures
    • Provide financial insights and recommendations to management for decision-making
    • Oversee bank reconciliations and financial risk management
    • Ensure timely month-end and year-end financial closing processes
    • Lead budgeting and forecasting.
    • Oversee treasury operations

    Requirements
    Educational Qualification:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
    • Professional certification such as ICAN,ACA, or equivalent will be an added advantage or may be required

    Experience:

    • 5–7 years relevant accounting and finance experience
    • At least 2–3 years in a managerial or supervisory role
    • Experience in healthcare, corporate, or related sectors may be an added advantage (adjust based on your industry)

    Other Requirements:

    • Strong ethical standards and accountability
    • Ability to work under pressure and handle confidential information
    • Good knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and financial regulations
    • Candidate should be proactive, organized, and result-driven
    • Residency within the job location or willingness to relocate may be required.

    • Strong financial and accounting knowledge
    • Leadership and team management skills
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
    • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Strategic thinking and decision-making ability

    • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
    • High level of integrity and confidentiality.
