    Head Financial Control / Chief Financial Officer

    Job Objective

    • The position objective is to ensure optimal allocation of Bank’s resources as well as ensure the accurate maintenance of the financial records in order to optimize the liquidity position of the Bank and mitigate financial, business and reputational risks.

    Role and Responsibilities

    • Preparation and submission of CBN and NDIC monthly rendition Returns
    • Preparation and presentation of Monthly Management Account to the board through MD/CEO
    • Budget preparation and budgetary control
    • Investment and fund management
    • Daily report to MD/CEO on liquidity position and performance of the bank
    • Chief driver of Bank Performance measurement management of the staff bank
    • Chief driver of weekly Asset and Liabilities Management committee meeting
    • The custodian of the bank budget and effective implementation
    • Preparation and Presentation of Monthly Performance Review (MPR) report and chief driver of the meeting
    • Treasury and Liquidity Management of the bank
    • Remittance of statutory deductions on monthly basis such as PAYE, WHT, VAT etc.
    • Filling of statutory return appropriately
    • Authorization of payment of vendors and staff payroll
    • Insuring the entire bank fixed Asset, money insurance, Staff Fidelity insurance, credit life assurance of customers and staff group life assurance.
    • Weekly Review of Bank Reconciliation statement
    • Any other duties as assigned by MD/CEO and Board

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Candidates should possess a Graduate qualification in Accounting or any related discipline
    • At least 3 years of experience in a similar position, preferably in the financial industry
    • Relevant professional qualification is mandatory (ACCA or ACA).

    Skills & Competence:

    • Competent in Microsoft tools
    • Good Communication (oral & written) & interpersonal skills
    • High attention to detail
    • Resilience to handle difficult customers
    • Sound risk awareness
    • Good leadership skills
    • Ability to prioritize workload
    • Good negotiation skills.
