Job Description

As Head, Consulting, you are accountable for the sourcing and delivery of consulting and training assignments, and managing the work of consulting and training units of the firm.

Specifically, you will:

• Lead the sourcing of consulting and training business
• Lead the proposal development and defence of consulting and training services
• Accountable for the delivery of consulting and training assignments
• Mentor, coach, manage and guide consulting staff in the execution of consulting assignments
• Key member in the planning and execution of the company’s strategic plan
• Account Management:
  • Be accountable for the overall health of the company’s key accounts - timeliness, quality, customer feedback
  • Manage customers at senior leadership levels and their expectations. Growing such customer relationships in value, customer satisfaction, revenue mix.
  • Explore and capitalize on opportunities to cross-sell and up-sell to existing clients
• Constantly innovate and create new solutions/accelerators/POVs which maps to the marketplace requirements.
• Act as a thought leader to help set direction for the industry.

Education, Qualification and Certification

• Bachelor’s degree in numerate sciences including computer sciences, business administration, accounting, economics, etc
• To be successful in this role, you require four or more of the following designations:
  • ITIL4 designations; foundation, managing professional and/or strategic leader stream.
  • PMP and/or PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner
  • CBAP or CCBA
  • Business Continuity Management Practitioner or equivalents
  • Organizational Change Management certification
  • ISO Certifications – 20000-1; 22301; 27001; etc
  • TOGAF 9 Certified
  • COBIT Foundation, COBIT Assessor and/or COBIT Implementer
• Master’s degree in any business-related field is an advantage.

Skills, Experience and Attributes

• Five to ten years’ in-depth experience delivering consulting and training assignments (mainly IT)
• Five to ten years’ in-depth experience selling consulting and training services (mainly IT)
• Five years’ experience managing a consulting team size of twenty and above
• Demonstrable experience in strategic planning and business development processes
• Creativity and innovative skills
• Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving and communication skills – verbal and written
• Excellent quantitative and analytical reasoning
• Commercially aware and strong understanding of business environments
• Strong Microsoft office suites of software – PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
