    Graphic Designer

    • Are you a skilled and imaginative Graphic Designer with a passion for creating visually compelling designs? Join our publishing house and take on the exciting role of crafting engaging designs for a diverse range of print and digital publications, including books, magazines, newsletters, and marketing materials.
    • Your creative skills will help us deliver not just books but captivating experiences.
    • You'll work closely with cross-functional teams of writers, editors, photographers, and marketers to bring concepts to life and maintain visual coherence across all our publications.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Collaborate with the editorial and marketing team to design book covers and layouts that align with the book's content and target audience.
    • Adapt and format book covers and interiors for various formats, including print and digital.
    • Create eye-catching promotional materials for book launches, marketing campaigns, and author events, website and ensure visual consistency across all publications.
    • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    • Stay up to date with industry trends and design software/tools to continually improve design quality and efficiency.
    • Manage and organise a library of design assets for easy accessibility.

    Requirements & Skills

    • A degree in Graphic Design or related field.
    • A minimum of 2 years relevant experience in graphic design in a publishing or editorial environment
    • Exceptional design skills and portfolio that demonstrates creative talent, attention to detail, and proficiency in typography, layout, and composition.
    • Advanced knowledge and experience in Adobe Creative Suite.
    • Excellent creative and conceptual thinking.
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, take creative direction and provide design guidance to non-designers.
    • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality design.
    • Excellent time-management and project management skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
    • Familiarity with print production processes, including colour management, prepress, and file preparation is an added advantage.
    • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and web design principles is a plus.
    • A passion for books and deep understanding of visual storytelling.
