    Government & Strategic Partnerships

    Key Responsibilities

    • Support engagement with embassies, High Commissions, multilateral agencies, and federal institutions
    • Identify, map, and track relevant institutional, diplomatic, and development leads aligned with WACN’s work (conservation, security, communities, climate)
    • Coordinate meetings, briefings, and structured follow-ups with government and international partners
    • Prepare short briefing notes, talking points, and updates to support senior leadership
    • Maintain continuity and momentum across institutional conversations and introductions

    Required Profile

    • Strong familiarity with Abuja’s institutional, diplomatic, or policy ecosystem
    • Experience working around government, embassies, international organisations, NGOs, consultancies, or development programmes
    • Comfortable engaging professionally with senior stakeholders
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Highly organised, discreet, and reliable

    Additional Notes

    • Abuja-based (or demonstrable, active presence in Abuja required)
    • This is not a junior administrative role
    • The role will begin on a part-time / retainer contract basis, with scope to scale based on performance and organisational growth
    • Prior conservation experience is welcome but not essential — institutional literacy and judgement matter more
