    Floor Manager

    Job Summary:

    • The Floor Manager oversees daily operations in the hospitality establishment, ensuring excellent guest service, managing staff, and upholding service and quality standards. The role includes supervising various departments such as front-of-house, food and beverage, and housekeeping, depending on the establishment's size and type.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Supervise staff by leading, motivating, and guiding employees in providing exceptional service to guests. Train new staff, conduct performance evaluations, and provide ongoing support and coaching.
    • Manage daily operations by overseeing front desk operations, food and beverage service, and housekeeping.
    • Ensure guest satisfaction by monitoring guest interactions and feedback, and addressing any concerns or issues promptly and professionally.
    • Uphold service standards by ensuring all employees adhere to the company's service standards and policies, conducting regular quality checks and inspections.
    • Monitor inventory and oversee inventory management for supplies, linens, food, and beverages. Coordinate with suppliers as needed and maintain accurate records.
    • Handle reservations and bookings, including group reservations and special events.
    • Manage schedules and prepare staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak and off-peak times.
    • Maintain a safe environment by monitoring the establishment for safety hazards and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
    • Assist with financial management by helping manage budgets and controlling costs, monitoring expenses, and identifying opportunities for cost savings.
    • Communicate effectively with other managers, departments, and staff members to ensure seamless operations.
    • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve operations and the guest experience.

    Qualifications:

    • Proven experience in a supervisory or management role in the hospitality industry.
    • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage a diverse team.
    • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
    • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices.
    • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
    • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
    • Familiarity with industry software and technology for reservations, point-of-sale, and property management systems.
    • A degree or certification in hospitality management is preferred but not required.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
    • Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to [specify weight, e.g., 30 pounds].
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
