Financial Analyst (Upstream oil & Gas Sector)

About the job
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for budgeting/forecasting, reporting, analytics, and reporting for operations, and special projects, using their analytical mindset to analyze and interpret financial data, then relating it to potential business trends and issues.
- This candidate will feel comfortable using insights they have discovered to communicate important themes and discoveries to company leadership.
Responsibilities
- Analyze current and past financial data and performance to make recommendations on profit enhancement
- Manage the preparation, analysis, and submission to the CFO of monthly financial reporting, yearly budgets, and long-term strategic business plan
- Interpret financial data to recognize changing trends, patterns, and their meaning related to key performance indicators
- Communicate financial insights suggesting business issues to management
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or Finance or equivalent experience
- Seven (7) minimum years of experience in finance, or accounting in oil & Gas upstream
- Advanced knowledge of Excel
