Finance Officer (Volunteer) at Light Foundation Center for Peaceful Coexistence and Development

Location: Maiduguri, Borno State
Reports to: Executive Director

Role Purpose:

The Finance Officer (Volunteer) will assist in maintaining transparent financial records, ensuring accountability and compliance with LiFon’s policies and donor standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support day-to-day bookkeeping and record-keeping functions.
• Prepare payment vouchers, receipts, and financial summaries.
• Assist in petty cash management and monthly reconciliations.
• Support budget preparation and expenditure tracking for project activities.
• Maintain proper filing of all financial documents and support audit preparation.

Qualifications and Experience:

• HND/BSc in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial documentation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or accounting software.
• High integrity, attention to detail, and confidentiality.
• Previous experience with an NGO or humanitarian setting is an added advantage.
